Soccer is really and incredibly simple sport when you think about it compared to other sports. Of course the main idea in soccer is to put the ball in you opponents goal while at the same time protecting your goal from attack.

In the game of soccer there are 4 main positions that are played. These positions Forwards, Midfielder, Backs and goalkeepers. The Forwards are just as they sound like they are the deepest players on the field. Their job is to either hold the ball up and lay it off to the midfielders running on or to turn and collect through ball and balls over the top. Now the midfielders have a very versatile position. At time the midfielders not only play Defense but also are getting forward in goal scoring opportunities. Back are just as they sound they stay back and provide support to the goal keeper. Last but not least the goal keeper protects the goal and is the only player on the field that can use his hands during play.
